Samantha Cauliflower
21-12-1999 to 15-01-2025
Age 26, height 5’3”
Samantha Cauliflower was born our of necessity in December 1999, as a spark of inspiration, her name befell her owner as a way of performing folk music under a pseudonym and avoiding a clash of identity politics with her owner’s working lives.
Her first album in The Red Velvet Tour, 2001 was a live recording of her only third ever live performance, barring a few busking sessions in the mall to build confidence. Only 52 copies were ever made. The red velvet was a reference to her velvet pants bought at the op shop.
Her second album Sketches, was in her stoner years and was almost completely off the cuff. 2006 was a year of recovery. Somehow Samantha survived.
Her third album All The Pretty Lights was in 2013 and a back catalogue of previously unrecorded tunes. In 2014 Samantha quit song writing and singing as she had known it.
Her fourth Album in 2019 was 12 The Album. Launched by her own label Purple Nipple Music it was 12 different genres of EDM. Quite an expression.
In 2020 was her last EP, Not While Driving. Another EDM but tailored to a leftist retreat.
Not to mention the iterations of Quintastella the band from 2005-2009. Much fun was had apparently.
From 2020 Samantha turned to writing letters about Polyamorous love. Two concurrent relationships with a faceless man and faceless woman. Unfortunately her work was usurped and vandalised with violent themes for many years, and only recently the original text is being revived. In 2023 her memoir, Soliloquies, was on her early years and was published under her birth name. Again, the original copy is now available on this website.
Samantha’s passing happened on Wednesday January 15th at 6pm in her manor, due to her personal life becoming political. At twenty six years she had come to achieve all that she could in her short life, and was grateful for all the wonderful people she had met in her life. Vale Samantha Cauliflower.
